Device Cleaning Procedures

Recommended Device Cleaning Process

Important: Please note this process should ONLY be used on devices that are not cracked or damaged. Any moisture that seeps into a device with a cracked or chipped screen/back may cause the device to no longer function. This does apply to small cracks as well. While cleaning a device can help remove and prevent contamination from bacteria/virus it in NO WAY can 100% guarantee all removal! Continue to follow CDC guidelines for protecting against COVID-19.

Step 1 – Isolate The Device

Wear rubber gloves if available. Remove device from its case, as some cleaners may discolor or damage plastic, leather etc.

Step 2 – Power Down

Unplug and power off your device.

Step 3 – Cleaning

Using a 70 percent or greater alcohol pad, gently wipe your device from top to bottom. If dirt
is present on the pad, use a new pad to prevent scratches. Clorox disinfecting wipes can also be used. Isopropyl alcohol or an alcohol based cleaner can be used with a microfiber cloth. Spray the cleaner on the cloth, not on the device, and use it as if it were an alcohol pad.

Step 4 – Dry The Device

Dry your device with a clean microfiber cloth and place back in a protective case.

This process can be performed daily with negligible risk of damaging the device when done carefully.

It is also recommended that you clean your device after use by anyone other than yourself.
